Alfred Villoch, III

Alfred Villoch, III, is a Tampa native and a founding member of Savage Villoch Law, PLLC. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in 1998 and earned his law degree from Penn State University, The Dickinson School of Law, in 2002. While at Penn State, Alfred served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Penn State International Law Review and was awarded the Paul L. Stevens Memorial Scholarship.

Alfred focuses his practice on representing investors who have suffered financial losses due to misconduct by stockbrokers and financial advisors. He has successfully recovered substantial awards for his clients, including a recent $15 million recovery with Bert Savage on behalf of a husband and wife who suffered losses from a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley.

In addition to his investor advocacy, Alfred brings a significant depth of experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, business formation, and commercial litigation.

Alfred’s legal career began during law school, where he first clerked for the late Honorable Robert J. Woodside, a federal judge in Pennsylvania. After graduation, he joined a large Delaware law firm, where he represented major national corporations–including KB Toys, Inc., Integrated Health Services, and Touch America Holdings–in bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings. In this fast-paced, complex environment, Alfred prosecuted hundreds of claim objections, secured emergency first-day relief for corporate debtors, and assisted in structuring Chapter 11 plans and disclosure statements.

Upon returning to Tampa, Alfred expanded his practice to include financial institutions such as SunTrust Bank and Bay Cities Bank, handling various collection matters. He also defended brokerage firms and financial advisors in FINRA arbitration and represented a receiver in a federal case involving a $350 million Ponzi scheme.

Before founding the law firm, Alfred worked as private counsel for the second-largest auto insurance company in the nation, where he litigated and defended hundreds of personal injury cases in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Polk counties. He also handled cases involving personal injury protection (PIP) and auto glass benefits.

Alfred is a first-generation American, with his family having immigrated from Cuba in the 1950s. He is proud of his Cuban heritage and that his law firm is minority-owned. Entrepreneurship runs in his family–his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all bakers and owned a bakery, demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Although Alfred chose a different path by becoming a lawyer, he takes great pride in carrying on his family’s legacy of business ownership, as the named partner of his own law firm.

In his free time, Alfred enjoys traveling the country in his 30-foot 2019 Airstream International Signature. He has embarked on five cross-country tours of the United States, in addition to many smaller trips to destinations like Savannah, Georgia; St. Augustine, Florida; and Key West, Florida, to name a few.
